2012 Categories
The Convenience Retail Awards recognise outstanding all-round retailers in the independent, multiple, large and- for the first time this year- small store sectors. A number of shortlisted candidates in each of these three categories are invited to finals night where awards are presented for:
- Best Small Store (less than 1,500sq ft)
- Best Independent Store (1,500-3,000sq ft)
- Best Multiple Store (1,500-3,000sq ft)
- Best Large Store (3,001- 10,000sq ft)
One of these four winners is then be named as our overall champion - the Convenience Retailer of the Year.
We also present special category awards to retailers who demonstrate excellence in a number of key disciplines within retailing, namely:
- Best Customer Service
- Responsible Retailing Award
- Best Chilled Food Retailer
- Product of the Year
- Excellence in Impulse Award
- Category Management Award
- Independent News Trader of the Year
- Zero Tolerance Award for Crime Prevention
- Best Wholesale Business Initiative
- Lifetime Achievement Award
